• Agnico Eagle needs to extract material from the existing Itivia Quarry to build the new laydown area for the transit of the sea cans brought in during the barge season
  • Material from the quarry is also needed to build the 6 km bypass road to allow traffic from Itivia to bypass the Hamlet in delivering materials and fuel to the Meliadine mine site.
