We are pleased to announce that the return to work of our Nunavummiut employees from the Kivalliq region will begin the week of March 14. We have shared our updated plan for the return to work of Nunavummiut with the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer (CPHO) and are finalizing the logistics to welcome our colleagues back on site.

The return to work protocol involves a combined set of measures that will allow us to operate with a controlled level of risk in the path of living with COVID-19 while continuing to protect employees and surrounding communities. We appreciate the patience and understanding of Nunavummiut employees who have had to return home twice since the beginning of the pandemic.

Throughout the past year, we have built a robust process to protect our employees and adapted these to suit the changing state of the pandemic, such as screening processes, testing procedures and hygiene measures, all of which have proven effective in providing enhanced safety on site. Those measure will continue to be adapted based on the current state of the pandemic.

While we are working on the final details, we will start contacting each employee directly with information about their return to work date and to provide more information about the return to work protocol.

If you have any questions, we invite you to contact us through our Nunavut Community Communication System by email at tusaajugut@agnicoeagle.com or by phone at 1-844-323-3002.
